Out of Bounds: White stakes and lines. When out of bounds is defined by a line on the ground, the line itself is out of bounds.   The fence to the left of hole #1 is out of bounds. The entrance road to the left of holes #9 & 10 is out of bounds, even if the ball crosses over the road and comes to rest on another part of the golf course.
Hazards: Water hazard- Yellow stakes and lines.   Lateral water hazard- Red stakes and lines.
Embedded Ball: "Through the green, a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, other than sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole.  The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green."
Suspension of Play: Discontinue play: One prolonged note of siren. Resume Play: Two short notes of siren, repeated.
Ties: Ties will be settled by scorecard play-off using the USGA recommended method based on the total of the last nine holes, if still tied, the last six, last three, and finally hole by hole starting on the 18th hole moving backward. Then by lot.
Stones in Bunkers: “Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions” (Rule 24-1 applies).
Late to Tee: “If the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, in absence of circumstances that warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is loss of the first hole to be played in match play or two strokes in stroke play. Penalty for lateness beyond five minutes is disqualification.”
Ground Under Repair: Ground under repair is marked by enclosed white lines. Washed out areas along the sides of the cart path, material piled for removal, holes made by a greenskeeper, irrigation lines, french drains, and old tree holes are ground under repair even if not marked.
Rangefinders: A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. Devices that measure other conditions that might affect play are strictly prohibited. Penalty for breach of Rule 14-3 is disqualification.
Integral parts of the Golf Course: include retaining walls and pilings when located within a water hazard or lateral water hazard.
Pace of Play:  All players will be responsible for maintaining an appropriate pace of play. All groups must keep pace with the group in front of them. Pace of play will be monitored by on course rangers. Penalties for slow play will be accessed at the sole discretion of the Tournament Committee. First offense- Warning, Second offense- Two stroke penalty in stroke play or loss of hole in match play.
Rules & Format

USGA Rules govern play including posted local rules.

Tees:  All players play from the white tees. Eligible seniors may play from the yellow tees.

Format: On each hole one member of the team must play the Red-Ball, the other three members of the team will play their own ball.  All players will receive 80 % of their course handicap.  The team score on each hole will consist of the net score of the Red-Ball + the best net score of the remaining three players.  Each member of the team must play a minimum of four holes with the Red-Ball, and so mark on the scorecard. There does not have to be a set order to the rotation of the Red-Ball.  Once a player puts the Red-ball into play on a hole, that player must complete play of the hole. A second Red-Ball will be included in each teams entry.

Red-Ball Lost: The Red-ball is lost when:
1. It is not found or identified within 5 minutes after beginning search.
2. The player has put the second Red-Ball into play.
3. The player has played any stroke with a provisional Red-Ball from the place where the original Red-Ball is likely to be or from a point nearer the hole than that place, whereupon the provisional Red-Ball becomes the ball in play.
4. It comes to rest out of bounds.
(ONCE THE RED-BALL IS DEEMED LOST UNDER ANY OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS IT MAY NOT BE PUT BACK INTO PLAY. EVEN IF IT IS FOUND!!!!)

Putting the 2nd Red-Ball into Play: The second Red-Ball may be put into play:
1. Without penalty, for a ball lost under any of the above conditions. It is to be dropped at the point nearest to where the original ball was last played. It may be re-teed if put into play for a ball hit from the tee box, or placed if on the putting green.
2. Under the rules with penalty, for a ball lost in a water hazard.

This gives you the option of dropping under the rules for a ball lost in a water hazard. 1 stroke penalty
Or
Without penalty from the spot where the last stroke was played.
